This is a model invented by Robert Lang, and published in the book "Origami Sea Life". Possibly the best origami book about sea animals out there. There are other shells in this book, but this one is my favourite.
I have folded twice this model to show both sides of the shell in a single picture. It is not a difficult model to fold, but not for beginners.
The biggest one is folded with a 10" square of foilbacked paper with pink tissue paper. The smallest one is folded just with a 8" square of foilbacked paper. I varnished both models.
I hope you like it.
Author of the model: Robert Lang.
Folded by: Me.
Diagrams: Yes, in the book "Origami Sea Life" by John Montroll and Robert J. Lang, Dover ed. 1990.

98% of people on DA claim they don't read signatures. Copy and paste this into your siggy if you're one of the people who read this to see what stupid made-up statistic it had.

Foil backed paper. It is golden on a side and white on the other one. To get the pink colour in the bigger seashell I pasted pink tissue paper on the golden side of the foil backed paper.
